About the Role

Agate Software is seeking a Software Developer II to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our critical platform. Our mission is to transform grant process management for government agencies and non-profit organizations, building a better world through technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and troubleshoot software bottlenecks and bugs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Software Developer, preferably in backend roles.
• Strong knowledge of relevant programming languages and software development principles.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Completed university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the public sector or with non-profit organizations.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with microservices architectures or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
