About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Level Software Engineer with solid experience in Java and Python to join our team. This role is fundamental for the development of innovative and customized solutions, aimed at a diverse clientele including government entities, military, non-profit organizations, and the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable software using Java and Python.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, end-users, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Develop advanced analytical tools that drive data discovery and support strategic decision-making.
- Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
- Mentor junior software engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
- Ensure the quality, security, and performance of the developed code.
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience as a Principal Software Engineer or in a similar technical leadership role.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
- Solid knowledge in the development of complex applications and systems.
- Experience working in environments involving data and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge or experience in the public, governmental, or military sector.
- Experience in developing data analysis tools or data science platforms.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
