About the Role

Visa is looking for a Backend Staff Software Engineer with a strong track record to join their team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining world-class software solutions that drive innovation in the payments industry. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable backend software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and technical specifications.
• Create detailed design artifacts and technical documentation.
• Actively participate in code reviews and follow best development practices.
• Identify and resolve complex software issues, ensuring quality and performance.
• Contribute to the overall system architecture and propose improvements.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in relevant backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js, etc.).
• Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in distributed systems and microservices.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
